Little magical moments that changed my life or about my Microdosing experience
Greetings everyone on the pages of FOXXY! My name is Olga, and today I decided to share with you my story of how microdosing became a discovery for me that turned my world upside down… but in a good way!
How did it start?
So, it all started on one of those mundane days when you feel like you live life on automatic: get up, have coffee, get the kids ready for school, run to work - and so on day after day. Does that sound familiar? I was so sick of it that I seriously wondered, “Is this really how it's always going to be?” The thought popped into my head that it was time to make a change. I realized that I lacked some “zest”, something new and unusual in my life, so that I didn't feel like a mechanism in an endless wheel.
I heard about microdosing by accident, in one of my conversations with my girlfriends. They were discussing new ways to increase creativity and productivity at work, and one of them mentioned that microdosing LSD or psilocybin (the well-known “magic mushrooms”) helped me focus and find new ideas. “Well, why not give it a try?” - I thought at the time. After all, these are not full-blown psychedelic trips, but small doses that help you discover new facets of thinking without causing hallucinations or anything scary.
First step: fear and curiosity
It was scary at first. Honestly, I had all these images in my head: what if I start seeing some fantastic things at the workplace or I can't go outside? But the more I read about it, the more I realized that microdosing is a perfectly safe and controlled process if you follow the right dosages. After all, it's not a leap into the unknown, just a slight lifting of the curtain to a new vision of life.
Typically, a microdose of LSD is about 10 micrograms and psilocybin is about 0.1 grams. So small quantities that you don't even feel the “high” but, as they say, you start to see the world a little clearer. I decided it was time to take the first step.
Day one: where's my magic?
So, day X came. In the morning, before the day started, I drank my first microdose. You know, it felt like the first time I went skydiving: excitement, curiosity and a little bit of fear. I was waiting for something to happen, but… nothing. Half an hour passed, an hour… and I just sat in my office, sipping coffee and going through emails. No rainbow colors or explosions of creativity. Honestly, I was starting to think this whole topic was just another hype.
But closer to noon, I noticed something had changed. My productivity was increasing! I began to focus on tasks much more easily, and things that would normally take me half a day suddenly weren't as difficult. It was as if my brain had turned on to a higher gear. When I got home in the evening, I didn't feel tired like I usually do, but like I was filled with energy. It was strange and pleasant at the same time.
A week later: the magic is revealed
The first few days of microdosing were like a blur. I was just trying to understand what was happening, observing my condition. But after a week, something changed. I began to notice that I was more attentive to details, less stressed at work, and creative ideas literally began to appear on their own.
I remember standing in a store, picking out groceries, and suddenly I had an idea for a new project at work. Normally I would have ignored such moments, put them aside for later, but now I couldn't resist - I grabbed my phone and started writing it down. This idea ended up firing! I felt the areas of my brain that I had previously thought were locked away on “sabbatical” were activated.
What is it?
Microdosing is like a little nudge for your brain. It doesn't blow your mind, it doesn't send you to another world, it just gives you a little nudge in the right direction. If I used to spend a lot of time thinking of simple solutions, now they come by themselves. My thoughts have become clearer and my feelings deeper. I began to appreciate every moment more: breakfast with my children, a walk in the park, even ordinary conversations with colleagues in the kitchen became more conscious. It was as if the world opened up in new colors, and it was all thanks to small doses of magic.
Pros and cons
I won't kid you, there are pros and cons. Let's start with the good:
- Increased Productivity. Microdosing really helps you focus and find solutions faster. It's like having someone oil your brain gears.
- Improved mood. Depressive thoughts started to visit me less often and I began to look at life in a more positive way. Even on days when things are falling apart, I stay calm.
- Creativity. Ideas are literally pouring out in rivers. Whereas before it took me a long time to get fired up to start creating, now the process comes more naturally.
Now for the cons:
- The effect is not instantaneous. It's not a magic pill. It takes time to feel the change.
- Addiction. Of course, it is not a drug addiction in the classical sense, but there is a desire for “a little more”. You have to be careful not to increase the doses so that you don't lose control.
- Legal issues. Microdosing is still illegal in most countries and this can be a problem. It is always worth remembering this and acting responsibly.
A personal experiment: is it worth pursuing?
I've been continuing microdosing for a few months now, and I can say: yes, it works! But it's important to be conscious and remember to take safety precautions. I feel that my brain is working in a new way, but I always keep a clear schedule: a day with microdosing, a day off. This helps to avoid addiction and keeps me from getting hooked on constant small doses.
To the question “will I continue?” I confidently answer: yes, but with caution. Microdosing is like a tool. You have to know how to use it properly. For some people it will be a real discovery, as it was for me, and for others it may seem like an unnecessary experiment.
Well...
Microdosing is not just a trend or a fashion fad. It's a way of looking at your life in a new way. Small doses can open up big opportunities for you. But the most important thing is awareness and responsibility. I'm not writing this letter to encourage everyone to microdosing, but to share my experience. Maybe someone will recognize themselves in my words and decide that this is exactly what they need.
Don't be afraid to experiment, but always know why you are doing it. After all, in the end, our life is a series of small steps we take towards our happiness.
With love, Olga
FOXXY: Microdosing is not just a trend, but a new way of looking at the capabilities of the human brain and body. It can change your approach to life, work and creativity, opening up horizons you didn't even know you had. As always, I write for everyone without shyness, because important topics do not deserve silence. The main thing is to approach experimentation with intelligence and self-care.
